  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3/4 cup full-fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup grated gruyère cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated fontina cheese
  • Salt and white pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot, add gnocchi, and cook until they float; drain well.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, add garlic, then flour, stirring until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened; mix in dijon mustard, gruyère, fontina cheese, salt, white pepper, and half of the parmesan until melted.
  5. Fold cooked gnocchi into the cheese sauce; pour into a greased baking dish.
