  • 2 cups celery (diced)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken/turkey broth
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F. Tear or cut bread into bite-sized pieces and spread on a dry pan. Bake for about 1 hour until toasted.
  2. While bread is toasting, chop onions and celery into small pieces.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions and celery for about 7-10 minutes until soft.
  4. Chop fresh herbs (parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme) while veggies cook.
  5. In a large bowl, combine toasted bread with sautéed veggies and herbs; season with salt and pepper.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together broth and eggs; pour over bread mixture in increments while mixing until moistened but not soggy.
  7. Grease a baking dish with softened butter; transfer stuffing mixture evenly.
  8. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 25-35 minutes until golden brown.
