  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your bundt pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the sour cream until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  8. Pour half of the batter into the greased bundt pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over it. Then add the remaining batter on top followed by another layer of the cinnamon swirl mix. Use a knife to gently swirl through the batter.
  9. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it onto a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
