  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sauté seasoned chicken in olive oil until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
  3. Add sliced carrots to the same skillet; cook for 3-4 minutes before adding minced garlic for another minute.
  4. Reduce heat; stir in butter, honey, soy sauce, and black pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to skillet and combine with the sauce. Mix in drained rigatoni; add reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Serve warm garnished with chopped green onions.
