  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix sliced peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Pour melted butter into a baking dish. Combine milk and vanilla extract with the dry ingredients until smooth.
  5. Pour batter over the melted butter without stirring. Spoon peach filling evenly on top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
