  • 1/3 cup (80mL) vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup (180mL) whole milk, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 cup (240g) full fat sour cream, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup (120g) rainbow jimmies sprinkles
  • 1 1/2 cups (340g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 6 cups (780g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 46 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in vegetable oil, milk combined with vinegar, sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time.
