Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Drizzled caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press the mixture into the prepared pan evenly. Sprinkle pecan halves over the crust.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and brown sugar to create caramel; stir constantly until it boils, then cook for one minute more.
  5. Pour the caramel over the pecans and crust. Bake for 18-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle with milk chocolate chips; allow them to melt before spreading them into an even layer.
