  • 3 ¾ cups whole milk
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 7 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • Optional: zest of ½ an orange

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Tear the French bread into bite-sized pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.
