  • 1 cup butter (226 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water (60 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Chocolate chips (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by measuring them out.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, water, and salt. Stir continuously until boiling.
  3. Continue stirring until the mixture turns golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and half of the nuts.
  5. Pour onto a lined baking sheet, sprinkle with chocolate chips while warm, then top with remaining nuts.
  6. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
