  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • Two 8-ounce packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and granulated sugar for the churro coating; set aside.
  3. Lay one sheet of crescent roll dough flat in the greased dish to form the base crust.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Spread half of the cheesecake filling over the crust, top with another sheet of dough, then spread the remaining filling on top before adding one final layer of dough.
  6. Bake for about 28 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar mixture before letting it cool.
