  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • ½ cup bell pepper (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (diced)
  • 1 packet chili seasoning mix
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes (undrained)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 can kidney beans (drained)
  • 2 cups macaroni (uncooked)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1½ cups cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic; sauté until tender.
  2. Stir in chili seasoning, tomato paste, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth. Mix well.
  3. Add kidney beans and let simmer while you cook the macaroni.

  5. In a separate saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk until thickened.
