  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form mixture into golf-ball-sized meatballs (16-20 total).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown meatballs on all sides.
  5. Pour BBQ sauce over browned meatballs and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Toast sub rolls on a baking sheet for about five minutes.
  7. Fill each roll with meatballs and top with cheddar cheese and turkey bacon.
  8. Return subs to the oven until cheese melts.
