  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 tbsp instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed (for filling)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm, then mix it with softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Add the eggs and stir well.
  2. In another bowl, combine bread flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture while stirring until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until elastic. Let it rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. While the dough rises, prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until creamy.
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over it. Cut into strips and twist them together before placing on a baking sheet.
  6. Allow twisted buns to rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush with beaten egg before baking for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
